It turns out Dolly Parton isn’t it fresh out of forgiveness.
The Grammy winner had no hard feelings against her sister Freida Parton asked fans to send him prayers, leading to speculation about his health.
“She probably thought, ‘Well, she didn’t know the Internet back then. She had no idea,” Freida told News Channel 11 in Tennessee in an interview published Jan. 3. “So I didn’t have any problems with her or any family members. But some people were very angry with me for saying that.
Indeed, although Freida, one of Dolly’s 11 siblings, has sparked concern among fans, she explained that asking for prayers has always been their family’s norm in all situations.
“I just said what I said because mom told us to pray,” she explained. “And so I prayed, and I wanted people to pray for her because she wasn’t feeling well.”
“It’s like, hey, I didn’t want that to happen,” she continued. “I just asked people to pray because that’s how I was raised, you know, pray.”
