How does this huge moment of my Mothma in Andor Season 2, episode 9, corresponds to Star Wars Rebels? Similarities and differences explained

The following contains spoilers for Andor Season 2, Episode 9. Return if you are not up to date!
The galaxy was changed forever.
A huge moment has just occurred in Andor Season 2: My Mothma delivered a speech that directly targets the Emperor Palpatine in the aftermath of the Ghorman massacre.
Now, as some Star Wars fans know, this moment has already been represented in the chronology of Star Wars in the rebels animation program – specifically season 3, episode 18. But how does this episode correspond to Andor Season 2?
Below, we decompose the events of the two episodes to explain exactly how they adapt, as well as their difference. It is a huge moment for the galaxy which leads directly to the formation of the rebellious alliance as we know it, so it is worth putting itself at speed. We also have exclusive quotes from the actor of my Mothma Geneviève O’Reilly at the time.
So, for all this and more, go to the above.
How is the speech of season 2 of my Mothma adapted to Star Wars Rebels?
In the rebels, we do not see the whole speech, just an extract displayed on an imperial program watched by the ghost crew.
“I name the emperor himself for having ordered the brutal attacks against the inhabitants of Ghorman,” said my in the rebels. “Their peaceful world is one of the countless powerless systems against its oppressive rule. This massacre is proof that our self -proclaimed emperor is a little more than an executioner of lie, imposing his tyranny under the pretension of security. We cannot allow this evil to stand up.”
Now, in Andor Season 2, episode 9, the speech of my becomes much more ardent, it is therefore logical that the Imperials do not wish to broadcast it (although of course, the non -canon explanation is simply that the rebels are published long before Andor Season 2, explaining why the speeches do not correspond perfectly).
My calls what happened on the “uninsured genocide” of Ghorman and declares that “the death of the truth is the ultimate victory for evil”. She then names Palpatine a “monster”, just before the power was cut.
“I was so grateful to Tony [Gilroy] For that because there was a speech that was recorded in the animated rebels to which you refer and therefore I did not think that they would be able to write the speech and yet it is the most important moment for me, “he said the actor of my Geneviève O’Reilly on the scene.
“This is what this woman [is]This is the risk, it’s the moment when she risks everything, risks all her life, and therefore how Tony has cut a space and recreated [it] Always respecting tradition and the barrel and what has lived before, and yet he dug a space in our history to allow him to use his voice-and that was everything for me, “she added.
What then happens in season 2 and the Star Wars rebels?
Cassian saves my Senate and puts it safe. But, he pointed out that nobody will never know Cassian was the one who saved it – and, indeed, this is never mentioned in Star Wars Rebels.
What we do not see in Andor, but what will then happen in the rebels is my, continues another speech that unites the rebellion of the ghost cockpit.
“I’m not afraid because I take new measures,” she said. “Because I am not alone. From today, we are together as an ally.”
She then resigns as a senator and says: “We will not rest until we put an end to the Empire; until we remain our Republic. Are you with me?” Many ships then appear in space with the ghost, which says that Mothma is “our rebellion”.
From now on Andor, then we can expect to see the Mothma that we know the most – the intrepid leader in rebellion.
