Houston Texans @ Seattle Seahawks: Preview, Predictions and Odds

Preview for the Houston Texans @ Seattle Seahawks
The Seattle Seahawks (4-2) return home to Lumen Field Monday night to try to end their surprising home struggles when they take on the Houston Texans (2-3).
Seattle has been unbeatable on the road but inconsistent in front of its own fans, while Houston enters the clash refreshed after a bye week and buoyed by a decisive victory over the Baltimore Ravens.
Once one of the most intimidating venues in the NFL, Lumen Field no longer provided the edge it once had. Seattle went just 3-6 at home last season, its worst record in more than 15 years, and started this year 1-2 in its own building.
The Seahawks are thriving away from Seattle, after beating Jacksonville 20-12 to extend their franchise-record road winning streak to nine games.
In that win, Sam Darnold threw for 295 yards and two touchdowns, while Jaxon Smith-Njigba exploded for 162 receiving yards, including a 61-yard score.
Now, Seattle will aim to translate that road form into success at home — and they’ll need their pass rush and defense to keep shooting after a dominant performance that included seven sacks and limiting Jacksonville to 59 rushing yards.
After starting 0-3, Houston bounced back with two straight wins, capped by a 44-10 demolition of Baltimore before its bye.
Quarterback CJ Stroud was named the AFC Offensive Player of the Week, throwing for 244 yards and four touchdowns in the rout.
Offensively, the Texans are mixing things up at the running back position in the absence of Joe Mixon. Nick Chubb leads the way with 249 rushing yards and two scores, while rookie Woody Marks has impressed as a dual threat, adding 137 rushing yards, 96 receiving yards and two total touchdowns.
