Hosts undone in shower while Finland begins to campaign with the victory

The hosts of the tournament in Switzerland started promising but were finally overthrown by Norway, while Finland has closely overcome Iceland with 10 players, while Euro 2025 women started on Wednesday.
Nadine Riesen passed the host nation at a start of theft in group A when she found the net over 28 minutes against the finalists of 2005 and 2013, causing jubilant scenes inside St. Jakob-Park in Basel.
The Norwegians, managed by Gemma Grainguer, the only English director of the tournament, drew shortly after the pride of a 50th international goal by Captain Ada Hegerberg.

Julia Stierli’s goal four minutes later finished the Graining team’s return before Hegerberg missed the opportunity to extend the advance when she led to a penalty.
Switzerland then kicked their own shot just a few seconds later, but the decision was quickly overthrown by Var.
A last half hour at the end did not produce any other objective. Norway, the group has a favorite, wanted to claim three points and got into a strong position to progress in the quarterfinals.
Meanwhile, the Swiss have shown enough quality to suggest that they could still make the KB phase on the floor at home.
Earlier in the day, Katarina Kosola, Finland, caught the first goal of the tournament with a right foot strike while Marko Saloranta’s team began his campaign with a 1-0 victory.
The goal occurred 12 minutes after Hildur Antonsdottir was sent to Iceland for a second reservable offense.
Thursday sees the start of group B and a first overview of the Spanish world champions.
The Montse Tome team is one of the favorites to take the crown of competition holders in England and start their campaign against Portugal in Bern.
They can however be without a double winner of the golden ball and the recipient of the World Cup in 2023, Aitana Bonmati, for the match after being treated for viral meningitis.
In other elements of group B, Belgium faces Italy to Sion.
