His thinking about a “perfect” farewell after playing the last Tottenham game

Tottenham’s icon, Heung-Min, described his farewell on Sunday as a “perfect moment” after putting his spurs career for a decade in front of the South Korea fans.

The 33-year-old attacker was visibly emotional in the 1-1 draw with Newcastle United in Seoul, based in tears while he received a standing ovation and an honor guard from both sides when he was replaced just after the hour.

“It was a perfect moment,” said his official Tottenham website.

“Sharing these beautiful moments is something that I will never forget and I will always appreciate it – fans, players and gaffer.

“He understood my situation and was always on my side. He always listened to me and asked me what I wanted to do. I have enormous respect and I am very grateful.”

Thinking over his ten years in the north of London, his son only wanted the club to success in the future.

“I wish them all the best. There are five competitions to come and I hope they will win the five competitions. This is my wish.

“Spurs will always be in my heart and the boys will always be in my history books. It was incredible.

“They went so fast, the 10 years old. I can only think of beautiful moments, incredible moments. ”

His leaves Tottenham as one of the greats of the modern club, having scored more than 150 goals since his arrival from Bayer Leverkusen in 2015, winning the Golden Boot of Premier League and Captain for his part in their first trophy in 17 years.
