Hilary Duff’s new “Mature” music video, the first in 10 years

Hilary DuffThe musical career is no longer yesterday.
THE Lizzie McGuire The star released her first new song, “Mature,” in over 10 years on Nov. 6, and the track was accompanied by a music video that showcases the most adult era for her.
In the Lauren Dunn-clip made, Hilary – wearing a gold mini dress with ruffles and a matching fur coat – gets ready in front of a vanity mirror, applying lipstick, fixing her hair and admiring a bouquet of pink flowers on her vanity table. And when she finally takes the theater stage to perform on a white circular daybed, there is only one person in the audience: herself.
“Looks like she could be your girl / Like me before I got smarter,” Hilary sings in the chorus. “When I was flattered to hear you say / You’re so mature for your age.”
And these are not the only words that prove the Younger former student is becoming a more experienced singer-songwriter. In the first verse, Hilary describes a NSFW scenario between her ex and her new partner.
“Getting her down on your vintage rug / I bet she’s so impressed with your Basquiat“, the line reads. “And she thinks you’re deep in the way you’re not right now, right now.”
