Hilary Duff Announces “Mature,” Her First Single in a Decade

The track will mark his highly anticipated return to music

Hilary Duff recently promised her fans that new music would be arriving “in the blink of an eye” – and she wasn’t kidding. The actress-singer announced her new single “Mature”, released on November 6.

“Mature” will be Duff’s first single in a decade, following 2015’s “Sparks.” Inspire. Expire. The unique artwork features an image of Duff superimposed three times, with the title written in pink.

After teasing on social media, Duff officially announced her return to music in September, when she signed with Atlantic Records. The news sparked immense joy among his fans, so much so that rolling stone reported a 400 percent increase in searches for his music on Spotify.

Duff is also set to star in an upcoming documentary series chronicling her new musical era, as she records and prepares for her first performances in 10 years. The project will be led by Sam Screw, who worked on Taylor Swift: the era tour, An Absurd Christmas with Sabrina Carpenterand more.

Duff was in the studio with her husband, Matthew Koma, a musician and producer who worked on Inspire. Expire (he currently runs the Winnetka Bowling League). “I always knew I was going to come back to music,” she said in a recent interview with Variety. “I needed to feel safe and I needed to have the right people by my side and be absolutely 100 percent ready. Honestly, I needed to have 10 years of life under my belt. I needed a lot of things to say. This album feels like the inner workings of my brain and I’m just really excited to connect with people on that level again, that very forward-looking level.”
