BMW PGA Championship Pro-Am Tee Times: Andy Murray, Gareth Bale, Lando Norris join Star Golfers in Wentworth | News Golf
The Times and the Groups for the BMW PGA Championship Pro-Am on Wednesday in Wentworth were confirmed.
Some of the biggest names in golf – including the European Captain of the Ryder Cup, Luke Donald, and most of his team going to New York to face the United States later this month – will be joined by stars from other sports.
The event, which precedes the start of the BMW PGA championship on Thursday, offers 38 professionals each playing alongside three amateurs. The format will see half the field field at 8 a.m.
Billy Outcher, the title champion of the professional tournament which takes place from Thursday to Sunday, is the honor of playing the first tee of the morning group and will be joined by Gareth Bale, Sir Andy Murray and Teddy Sheringham.
The Skipper of the Europe team, Luke Donald, begins on the first tee in the afternoon group, when he is joined by the Finn rugby stars Russell, Owen Farrell and Henry Pollock.
Only two of the 12 players selected by Donald for the Ryder Cup are absent from the event, with Tommy Fleetwood, Jon Rahm and Justin Rose generate a huge excitement in Surrey.

The candidate for Formula 1 Lando Norris plays alongside Matt Fitzpatrick in the afternoon group, while his boss of the McLaren team, Zak Brown, is also in the Rose group.
