Leeds took a very encouraging start for his first League, which was made possible by a good transfer company in summer. And at the rear of this, Elland Road officials are already planning to strengthen Daniel Farke’s team in January, while they are trying to make sure that relegation is avoided.
There are areas of the Farke team that are weaker than others, as has been shown in the first weeks of the first League 2025-26 campaign. The midfielder is an area where upgrades can be carried out, which led Leeds to identify the targets – and one of them currently exercises his business for Inter Milan.
Leeds interested in the January move for Piotr Zielinski
According to Interlive (via Sport Witness), Leeds has shot the goal of Inter Milan midfielder, Piotr Zielinski, who struggles for the importance of Nerazzurri. It has been an unused substitute in three of their last four games, and because of this, it will be available when the transfer window reopens.
Inter is more than happy to let Zielinski head towards Elland Road, although there can be a stumbling block in terms of requests. The Giants of Serie A want to secure a transfer, while Leeds would prefer to sign it on a loan or via a free transfer – by the cancellation of his contract at San Siro.
Inter is not currently ready to terminate the Zielinski contract, but their position could change. In the remaining years of its current agreement, which takes place until 2028, it should earn 21 million euros, there is therefore a strong desire to save this money.
It remains to be seen if Leeds takes a step for Zielinski in January, and also if they can obtain an agreement on their conditions. For the moment, they should continue to monitor the situation of International Poland, which has almost joined Liverpool once.
