The showrunner Noah Hawley talks about season 2 potential after this huge cliffhanger

Overnight Alien: earth Final, the group of lost boys inspired by Peter Pan (children hosted in synthetic adult bodies) finally turns the tables on humans who created them, with Wendy (Sydney Chandler) declaring: “Now we govern”, at the end of the episode.
The series has established that Wendy can communicate with the xenomorphs, and it seems quite unstoppable with an adult and an extraterrestrial baby by his side. Other major developments have seen Kirsh (Timothy Olyphant) and Morrow (Babou Ceesay) finally occur, while the eye found a new house inside the corpse of Arthur (David Rysdahl).
With so many things in progress at Prodigy City and the Yutani troops approaching, it is clear now that Alien: earth East not An autonomous anthology series. The Hollywood Reporter (via Sffgazette.com) caught up with the showrunner Noah Hawley and asked him to prepare the field for season 2.
“I think there is an artistic response to that, and there is a commercial response to that, right? Obviously, I had to plan and execute a story that happens somewhere. And then, all this is an experience of proof of concept to see so enough people on the planet want to watch an extraterrestrial television program to justify the expense of a second and third season of an extraterrestrial television show.”
“So for me, I have never covered my bets. It is not a closed season. This chapter is closed, but Yutani’s troops land. The balance of power has changed. These children have no idea what happens. The last line of 10 minutes later, what will happen? So, that is to say that it has this real emergency of time.”
The job wondered if season 2 was a safe thing, but even with an end of Cliffhanger, it seems that the next chapter is neither guaranteed nor to us of our next ones.
“I have no destination in mind. I don’t know how long it will take me to get there. It was an incredible act of play for me to enter this franchise and bring my own ideas. And just like with Fargo, I think:” Who am I living? As long as they let me tell stories in this tone of voice, I will tell stories in this tone of voice. “Right now, I feel with enthusiasm for this hybrid spectacle that I made between Alien and looking at the future of humanity in a way that seems entertaining.”
“And look, there are artistic goals and commercial lenses. I think we have incredibly launched. I certainly hope it is not a long nail bite” can we start again? “My hope is certainly in the coming months to get a sort of sign from them to know if I should get another job or return to work.”
Hawley offered a less cryptic response in a separate interview with Screen Rant. “We are talking about the future of the show, and FX makes their homework. They really make sure that they understand the audience numbers”, “ he explained. “And at a certain level, this is where you finish more than where you started who tells you what is the appetite for a season 2.”
“I do my part in a creative way and really thinking about where I would make the show in the future,” Hawley added. “Admittedly, I do not want the show to be out of the air longer than it should be. So there is a certain urgency to make us go as quickly as possible.”
It is a positive update, but the Stranger The franchise seems to be set to the ice for at least the next two years (the Alien: Romulus The continuation still has no director after Fede Álvarez’s decision to resign). However, given that he has noticed a renewal of success in recent years, we are sure that everything that will come next is worth waiting.
All of Alien: earthThe first season is now streaming on Disney +.
