Vanessa Hudgens on the thriller “ siest storm ” of Anthony Thorne

EXCLUSIVE: Vanessa Hudgens (Bad boys: ride or die) finished production in Vancouver, British Columbia, Calm stormA dramatic thriller marking the beginnings of director of Anthony Thorne, who also wrote the script.

Exploring themes of the 60s such as the liberation of women and the Black Power movement, the film takes place in the summer of 1969, while the infamous hurricane Camille marks his tragic landing. Hudgens plays a romantic novelist trapped inside during the storm as she fights to face the reality of a constantly evolving world.

Mira Sorvino (winner of the Academy Prize (Brilliant,, American Crime Story) Co-stars, just like Thorne as Hudgens husband. Alongside Hudgens, Thorne and Sorvino, the film also presents new countries, notably Seydou Maiga, Sophia Chapdelaine, Cody John and Elysée Sanville. The film is presented and produced by filmmaker Nick Cassavetes, a longtime friend and supporter of Thorne.

Hudgens and Thorne joined forces as main producers of the Thorne production company, Cliffside Films, alongside producer Oliver Trevena by Ollywood Media, and producers Stephanie Rennie and Emrey Wright by Adessa Productions. The other executive producers include the collaborator of Cassavetes, of Matthew Barry by Adegan Productions, as well as Joel Eisenberg, Steve Snyder and Heidi Ben. Ronnie Exley and Black Rabbits are the financiers.

Known for roles in everything, Lycée musical Films at Princess switch Trilogy, Korine Harmony spring breakersand the last two Wicked Films, opposite Will Smith and Martin Lawrence, Hudgens is taken up by unit, CAA and Ziffren Brittenham.

Sorvino won an Oscar for Powerful Aphrodite and was recently seen with projects like the Starz series Brilliant,, Sound of freedomAnd Impeach: American Crime Story. It is reproduced by Circle Management + Production and Independent Artists Group.

Thorne has several other projects at various stages of development, including a science fiction thriller called Life formthat he co-written with Ice Cube and will produce alongside Cube and Jeff Kwatinetz under Cube Vision, with Simon West Set to direct. Alongside his brother Michael Tovo, he also co-written After exileA criminal drama that will be produced by Dito Montiel and Star Shia Labeouf, which aims to shoot later this year in Philadelphia and will be produced by Thorne, Keith Kjarvel, Scott Lastaiti and Andrea Bucko. The filmmaker is replaced by the CAA and the law firms of Kirk Schenck.

Known for projects like The notebook,, John Q,, Alpha dogand more recently God is a ball Starting Maika Monroe, Nikolaj Coster-Waldau and Jamie Foxx, Cassavetes is taken over by LBI Entertainment, WME and Yorn, Levine, Barnes.
