Has a team returned from 0-2 deficit in the conference final after losing two home games? History says that the knicks are condemned

Friday, New York Knicks lost 114-109 against the Indiana Pacers in match 2 of the final of the Eastern Conference. Jalen Brunson designed a last rally, but failed to drag his team towards a tied victory. Brunson and Co. will go to Indiana for matches 3 and 4 against a 0-2 hole.
Tom Thibodeau’s team is not ready to go on vacation, but the story is against. Underdog NBA, a site on X (formerly Twitter) that talks about all basketball, has given demoralizing statistics.

The Knicks have only their blame for their little enviable situation. They led by 14 points with 2:50 to play in the fourth quarter of match 1 and lost 138-135 in overtime. Before New York collapsed, the teams were 994-0 when they led by such a margin with a little less than three minutes.
Thibodeau’s very tuned defense appeared at the start of match 2, but the score has become a problem in the fourth. New York stammered in attack in the first eight minutes of the fourth quarter. Jalen Brunson tried to transport his team to a late rally, but the Pacers held. The leader missed a 29 feet which would have equaled the match at 112-112 with 8.1 seconds to play.
The Knicks are 0-3 against Pacers in the last three qualifying games at Madison Square Garden
The New York Knicks were 3-0 at the Madison Square Garden in their semi-final duel of the Eastern Conference in 2024. In the Pivot 7 match, the Indiana Pacers surprised them with a sizzling start before the broken hand of Jalen Brunson ends the return offer of the team at home.
After the defeat, Brunson and his teammates had the chance to redeem themselves – twice – in the first two games of the Eastern Conference final in 2025. The New York faithful went down to Madison Square to encourage the attempted revenge of his team. Behind the heroism of Tyrese Haliburton, the Pacers again broke the heart of the supporters of the team at home.
The Knicks had another chance in match 2 and wasted it again. They now have 0-3 at MSG during their latest playoff meetings with their rivals.
Although the story is not on their side, Brunson, Karl-Anthony Towns and Og Anunoby can always try to bring the series back to MSG. If they win one of the two games in Indiana, the series will return to New York, where the Knicks finally hope to end their crisis against the Pacers.
