HARRY POTTER Set Photos Reveal First Look at Voldemort’s Key Scene… From the Final Book

HBO Harry Potter The TV series is currently filming in Lustleigh, England, and we have our first look at the show’s version of Godric’s Hollow. This is where young Harry lived with his parents, Lily and James, and in the village where Lord Voldemort came one night that changed the wizarding world forever.

Halloween costumes confirm that this is the fateful evening when Lord Voldemort murdered Harry’s parents and attempted to kill the boy wizard. In doing so, the villain brought about his own apparent destruction and left a lightning bolt-shaped scar on Harry’s head (later revealed to be a Horcrux).

What’s particularly interesting is that this scene wasn’t fully revealed on the page until the final book, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows. Shortly before Voldemort’s attack on Harry and his parents is described in detail, author JK Rowling sets the scene as follows:

The night, wet and windy, two children dressed as pumpkins waddling around the square, and the shop windows covered with paper spiders, all the sordid Muggle trappings of a world they didn’t believe in… And he was slipping, that sense of purpose and power and rightness within him that he had always known on these occasions… Not the anger… it was for souls weaker than him… but the triumph, yes… He had expected this, he had hoped for it. he…

“Nice suit, sir!”

He saw the little boy’s smile falter as he ran close enough to see under the hood of the cloak, saw fear cloud his painted face: Then the child turned and fled… Under the robe he touched the handle of his wand… A single movement and the child would never reach his mother… but useless, quite useless…

Does this mean we will be able to see Voldemort in Harry Potter Season 1? Although the villain doesn’t make his first full appearance on the page until Harry Potter and the Goblet of Firehis face will be visible on the back of Professor Quirrell’s head, meaning the actor playing him will surely be cast now, not years from now.

As the books were still being written at the time, the films followed this path. As a result, the portrait of Ralph Fiennes was not used for this monstrous face nor as a basis for the young Tom Riddle encountered in the second film, Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets.

As for the decision to move this scene forward for the HBO version Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stonethat makes sense. It will now be interesting to see if Voldemort – and the mysterious actor who plays him – will be revealed on set in the coming days.

Along the same lines, Redanian Intelligence has learned that Robin Hood Actor Jake Curran was cast as Ronan the Centaur. It’s still unclear who will turn into Bane and Firenze, but Leigh Quinn (Thunderbolt) was cast in a mysterious role.
