World Cup-winning Indian skipper Harmanpreet Kaur has teased PCB chief Mohsin Naqvi and the Pakistan team with a video in which she ‘cheers’ at the World Cup trophy with the help of a cup of coffee.

Indian women won their first ever World Cup title against South Africa Women in the ICC Women’s World Cup 2025 final at the DY Patil Stadium in Mumbai. Harmanpreet Kaur led India to their first ever World Cup final and took them to a mammoth victory.

Indian captain applauds with World Cup trophy

After winning the trophy, the Indian team celebrated in many ways. Indian cricketer Smriti Mandhana bought a wheelchair for her opening partner Pratika Rawal during the winning celebrations. Later, she, alongside semi-final hero Jemimah Rodrigues and two other Indian stars, Radha Yadav and Arundhati Reddy, were seen posing in their room with the trophy.

Indian skipper Harmanpreet Kaur was seen in an Instagram video where she cheers her cup of coffee with the World Cup trophy. Many considered this as a mockery of Pakistan, since this was started by Varun Chakravarthy to mock Pakistani spinner Abrar Ahmed.

Moreover, this happened after India was stopped from receiving their Asia Cup trophy by PCB chief Mohsin Naqvi. Therefore, flaunting the World Cup seemed like a mockery from the captain of the Indian women’s team.
