The reference “6-0” is linked to the baseless affirmations of Pakistan according to which they shot down six Indian fighter planes during the four-day conflict after operation Sindoor.
Rauf’s gestures were widely considered to be echoing this baseless story. India launched the Sindoor operation in response to the Pahalgam terrorist attack which killed 26 people. The Indian army attacked terrorist camps in Pakistan and cashmere occupied by Pakistan (Pok) in May 2025.
