In the same report, it was mentioned that CSK was looking to release some big names from the team to clear the purse and enter the auction with a big sum in the bag.
It was reported that the five-time champions were looking to release Deepak Hooda, Vijay Shankar, Rahul Tripathi, Sam Curran and Devon Conway. Besides, Ravichandran Ashwin’s retirement added INR 9.75 crores to their purse.
