In 2015, Halsey made his offer for an alternative approach to pop celebrity with his first album Badlands. It was already the royalty tumblr, so the conquest of pop in the same way did not seem too far out of reach. Each detail was immaculate and intentional, which is why the listeners wondered for an entire decade on everything that happened at the end of the “New Americana” clip, when Halsey wakes up in the desert with the haunting agreements of “Drive” which sounds on the stage.
While the musician celebrates the 10th anniversary of BadlandsThey are finally ready to catch up with everyone. “Today, we give it the kick, are you ready?” Halsey asked on X earlier during the day, a few hours before revealing the Badlands Birthday Trailer, which previews a double functionality centered on the album Deep Cuts (and the favorites of the live show) “Drive” and “Gasoline”. A date has not been set for the release, but Halsey writes that the functionality “arrives soon”.
In the trailer, we see the return of Tyler Posey, which appeared in the clip for Badlands “Colors. With Halsey with blue hair in action, the overview promises the return of a familiar chaos. “City Under Heavy Surveillance,” reads a pinned note to a crowded babbleman where a singer’s photo is also pinned. On Tumblr, their base of attachments on social networks and their occasional safe space, Halsey revealed that it was not only an old discovery video. He presents newly recorded images, although she tried to deceive her subscribers a few weeks ago.
“Go through the archives of Badlands for birthday celebrations and found these new alambics Americana of certain installations that have not made the final video. I love the cervical boost of a little baby,” wrote Halsey in two grainy photos in which their hair is again this familiar color. When they shared the link on X today, they wrote: “When I lie.”
In recent weeks, Halsey has teased celebrations around the album’s birthday. It started with a vast vinyl outing, but it would not do justice to the album. The Multi-Platine certified disc presents the Platinum and Multi-Platine songs “New Americana”, “Hold Me Down” “Control”, “Castle”, “Hurricane”, “Ghost” and “Gasoline”, as well as the Certified Gold Cups “Roman Holiday”, “Haunting”, “Drive”, “Young God” and “Frowing Down”.
“Do you think the most exciting thing I have for you was vinyls?” Halsey posted on X. But patience is a virtue. “I do not think that Badlands could occur at that time, the people of BC were so impatient and accustomed to an instant gratuity, they would not have the patience of an interactive rhythmic deployment 🤷🏻♀️ IMO,” they wrote. Even they become impregnated. “It is definitely somehow back lol I am so impatient but there are a lot on the file,” Halsey replied to a fan who asked what was in reserve for the month.
