Hallmark and Netflix have signed a new global multi-year license agreement that will bring the beloved series “The Way Home” and a lot of streamer films.
As part of the enlarged agreement, seasons 1 and 2 of “The Way Home” will go to Netflix in October, season 3 which should arrive in the United States in February, while a handful of films will arrive at the streamer in January. These films include “an unexpected valentine”, “Sisterhood, Inc.” “Le Royal us”, “Hats Off to Love” and “Love in the Clouds”.
In addition, several holiday films will go to Netflix in November, notably “Hault the Holly” and “Hault the Holly: Lit Up”, with Lacey Chabert, Wes Brown, Stephen Tobolowsky, Melissa Peterman and Ellen Travolta; “Everything I need for Christmas”, with Mallory Jansen and Dan Jeannotte; “Christmas Under the Lights”, with Heather Hemmens and Marco Grazzini; And “Our Holiday Story”, with Nikki Deloach and Warren Christie.
“We are delighted with the partnership with Netflix, which brings the series acclaimed by Hallmark’s criticism,” The Way Home “and popular comedy films to subscribers in the United States, and holiday films in certain international markets,” said the vice-president of the media Hallmark and distribution chief Jesse Wallace in a declaration of Tuesday. “We are impatient to expose our emblematic programming to existing fans and captivate new audiences on Netflix.”
The updated license agreement increases the existing business relationship after Hallmark conceded under license 10 of his vacation films at Netflix the last holiday season, in particular “High the Holly” and “Haul Out the Holly:” Lit Up “,” A Biltmore Christmas “,” Christmas Island “and” Christmas in Notting Hill “, among others.
