Haaland admits an “hard” Odegaard injury when the attacker is preparing for the last qualifications of the World Cup

Erling Haaland says life will be “difficult” for Norway after losing Martin Odegaard to another injury.

A few hours before Manchester City’s match against Brentford on Sunday, the Norwegian Football Federation confirmed that Ongega had undergone an injury in the left knee ligament during the Arsenal Premier League match against West Ham.

After medical examinations, it was announced that the midfielder would not join the national team for the camp this month.

The doctor of the national team Ola Sand has provided an update, explaining: “The injury means that he will not be ready to play for this training camp.

“We are in close contact with the Arsenal medical support team, which will be responsible for treatment in the future.”

The absence of Odegaard arrives at a crucial stadium for Norway, which faces Israel in a vital qualifier of the World Cup in front of a friendly against New Zealand.

Haaland admitted that playing without the captain of Norway will be a challenge, but has sworn to do everything he could to fill the void.

“It’s a shame and it’s not good for us. We need him, so I hope it is not serious. I didn’t tell her about it, but that didn’t go well. We will miss our captain, it’s difficult.

“We just have to do our best without Martin. It will not be easy, because it is a large part of our game – but we have to do what we can without him – and I will do what I can do this,” said Haaland.
