Gyokeres penalty gives Gunners lead

The Arsenal striker has put them in position to return to the top of the table.
Viktor Gyokeres ended a run of four games without a goal by giving Arsenal the lead from the penalty spot against Everton.
Gyokeres had not found the net since their 2-0 victory against Burnley on November 1.
But he was presented with a golden opportunity to do so when Everton’s Jake O’Brien inexplicably handled the penalty area while trying to defend an Arsenal corner.
O’Brien jumped with both hands above his head, leaving referee Sam Barrott no choice but to point to the spot after being advised by VAR to consult the pitchside monitor for an on-field review.
And Gyokeres made no mistake from 12 yards, emphatically going past Jordan Pickford despite the Everton and England keeper going the right way.
A win for Arsenal would send them back to the top of the Premier League table after being displaced by Manchester City earlier on Saturday. Pep Guardiola’s men beat West Ham 3-0.
