Ilkay Gundogan left Manchester City on a free transfer to sign the Turkish club Galatasaray.
The 34 -year -old man signed for City for the second time this time last year and played 33 Premier League appearances for the Pep Guardiola team last season.
But with the arrival of Tijjani Reijnders and the return to the physical form of Rodri, the German international, fell out of the photo and did not present for City this season.
Gundogan was born in Germany but had a Turkish family and wanted to play in the countryside before his retirement.
Galatasaray wanted to sign Gundogan before the deadline for the Champions League on Tuesday evening.
