Grant Hill joining the NBC cover of the NBA 2025-26 season

The return of the NBA coverage to NBC will have a familiar face for the 2025-26 season while the Hall of Famer Grant Hill will join the office as a gaming analyst.
Hill, 52, will continue to play his role as an university basketball analyst with TNT Sports for the NCAA tournament as well as for the cover of the Big East and Big 12 basketball network.
“The NBA was such a significant part of my life, and I am grateful for the opportunity to continue to share the game I love with fans across the country,” said Hill in a statement. “To be part of NBC’s return to the NBA – a network with such a rich inheritance of basketball – and its beginnings on Peacock are really an honor. I can’t wait to start this fall.”
Sam Flood, executive producer of NBC Sports, described Hill’s pedigree as “unrivaled”, stressing that Hill “will be a great asset for our cover”.
“It is an accomplished diffuser,” added Flood, “whose IQ, insight and basketball intellect will continue to resonate with NBA fans across the country.”
The Co-Rookie of the year in 1995 and a seven time-star, Hill, played 18 seasons in the NBA with the Strait Pistons, Orlando Magic, Phoenix Suns and Los Angeles Clippers. He also won a gold medal with the United States team at the 1996 Olympic Games and was inducted at the Naismith Memorial basketball renowned temple in 2018.
Hill joined the radio side of the game after his retirement in 2013 and also assumed the role of director general of the United States, with Hill Building a list that won gold at the 2024 Olympic Games.
The NBA last summer agreed with an agreement on 11-year-old media rights with the NBC / Peacock, ABC / ESPN and Amazon Prime video which begins with the 2025-26 season.
