Gotham Awards 2025 Winners List

Refresh for latest… The 35th Annual Gotham Awards are underway in Manhattan, and Deadline is publishing winners live as they are announced. See the list below.

The ceremony at Cipriani Wall Street kicks off the movie awards season, as usual, by calling out the first set of names and handing out the first crop of trophies.

Organized by the Gotham Film & Media Institute, Gothams 2025 sees Paul Thomas Anderson’s film One battle after another starring Leonardo DiCaprio leads the pack with a record six nominations, including Best Feature Film, Best Director, Best Adapted Screenplay, Breakthrough Performer for Chase Infiniti and Outstanding Supporting Actor for Benicio Del Toro and Teyana Taylor. That of Mary Bronstein If I had legs I’d kick you from A24 garnered four nominations. Palme d’Or in Cannes It was just an accident by Jafar Panahi — who will be present at the ceremony this evening — and No other choice by Park Chan-wook, both from Neon, each had three names.

The Gothams expanded its Best Feature Film category this year to include 10 nominees, up from five. Some 40 feature films and 25 performances divided into 10 categories were nominated. It is typically an independent event, although the organization has removed budget caps to qualify in 2023, allowing larger studio films to enter.

Previously announced tribute awards include Luca Guadagnino and Julia Roberts (Visionary Tribute for After the hunt); Noah Baumbach (tribute to the director for Jay Kelly); the cast of Sinners (Homage Ensemble); Guillermo del Toro, Oscar Isaac and Jacob Elordi (Vanguard tribute for Frankenstein); Tessa Thompson (Spotlight Tribute for Hedda);Kate Hudson and Hugh Jackman (Musical tribute to Song sung in blue); and Jeremy Allen White and Scott Cooper (Tribute to the cultural icon for Springsteen: Deliver me from nowhere).
