“ Goosebumps ” was canceled after two seasons at Disney + (exclusive)

“Goosebumps” does not come back for a third season in Disney +, Variety has learned exclusively.
The horror anthology based on the RL Stine Book series initially made its Disney + debut in October 2023, with the second season in January 2025. Season 1 was 10 episodes and published each week, while season 2 was eight episodes and dropped at once.
According to a person knowing the situation, the producer of Sony Pictures Television plans to shop for the series in other points of sale and to explore different creative directions for the IP.
The two seasons drew 75 million hours viewed combined in the United States, in addition to 43 million hours seen in 16 international markets.
Each season has presented references and scenarios of several entries in Stine’s books. In season 1, a group of five high school students is pulled in a dark mystery surrounding a teenager named Harold Biddle who died from decades earlier. In season 2, a pair of fraternal twins will move with their recently divorced botanist father. When strange things start to happen, they and a group of their friends have decided to discover the truth.
The cast of season 1 included Justin Long, Rachael Harris, Zack Morris, Isa Brones, Miles McKenna, Ana Yi Puig and Will Price. Season 2 with David Schwimmer, Ana Ortiz, Jayden Bartels, Sam McCarthy, Elijah M. Cooper, Francesca Noel and Galilea La Salvia.
Nicholas Stoller and Rob Letterman have developed “goosebumps” for television and were executive producers. Hilary Winston was an executive producer and Showrunner. Neal H. Moritz and Pavun Shetty of original film also produced with the Iole Lucchese and Caitlin Friedman by Scholastic Entertainment, as well as Conor Welch and Erin O’malley. Sony Pictures Television Studios produced the Disney brand television series.
Published by Scholastic, “Goosebumps” is one of the best -selling books of all time. More than 400 million copies in English of books are now printed, as well as international editions in 32 languages. There are now more than 200 “Goosebumps” pounds in total, including the series of main books as well as various spinoffs and series of related books. Books were previously adapted in an episodic anthology series in the 1990s, while two “Goosebumps” films were published in 2015 and 2018.
