Unlike team-based competitions, MRS puts every player’s skill and strategy at the forefront. Strategists must clear six stages to claim the title of Rising Star while unlocking exclusive rewards along the way. The top Rising Stars will have a chance to advance to the Division Finals, where the brightest chess masters will battle for their place on the world stage. The ultimate victor will be crowned the first international MCGG champion and bring glory to their division. Further details regarding the tournament will be revealed at a later date.
Gao “Skyhook” Chong, MCGG Producer at MOONTON Games, said: “What excites us most about MRS is the chance to uncover new talent. We know that there are countless skilled players who haven’t had a platform to showcase what they can do—with MRS, they’ll finally get that opportunity. Whether they’re seasoned professionals or navigating the esports scene for the first time, we can’t wait to see new names rise on the MCGG world stage!
The launch of MRS marks MCGG Esports’ global expansion. Building on the success of the MCGG Indonesia Community Tournament (MCCT ID), MOONTON Games is now opening the doors to players worldwide. With MCGG’s accessibility, single-player format, and no barriers to entry, every strategist has the chance to rise through the ranks and shine as a champion!
