Glorify “Grind Mindset” will cause generalized exhaustion, explains the broker

“One thing with this industry that I find very interesting is how it is an insignia of honor for many people to work 24/7, and I think it will just lead to the professional exhaustion of many good people,” said Krueger Professional Mortgage America. “You work like a vehicle to be able to do the rest of your life and the things you want to do.”
He notes that brokers work with lenders and subscribers with very fixed limits of their work.
“We are not bankers,” said Krueger. “We are working with bankers and subscribers who work mainly from Monday to Friday to Friday, 8 to 5 years. So, you really need to make this call at 11 p.m. on Saturday or at 6 p.m. on Wednesday when you sit at dinner with your family? And the answer is not, almost never. Perhaps a call per year.”
Take care of yourself
Krueger set his first day limits to his brokerage. And people quickly said that his limits were not going to work for him.
“From the first day, when I entered the industry, my voicemail said the same thing,” he said. The vocal messaging says: “Here is Dave Krueger, Montana Family Mortgage. If it is Monday to Friday, from 8:30 am to 5.30 pm, I am on another line or with a customer, please leave a message. If it is after these hours or the weekend, it is my time with a designated family, and I will remind you during the next working day. If this is urgent, please send me a text.
