Week 5 HBCU FCS Overview and predictions

He is still at the start of the FCCS HBCU football season, but several teams have good cases as pretenders to the playoffs.
N ° 19 Jackson State, the state of South Carolina and the North Carolina Central meet the expectations of pre-season, while the state of Alabama, the state of the Delaware, the Grambling and Howard state for impressive departures.
The slate of week 5 consists of inter -real competitions, in particular “classic” clashes in the Swac.
Here are my five best games and predictions for this week.
Prediction record:
2025 Record: 54-9
Week 4: 8-2

5. Texas Southern (0-3, 0-1 Swac) at Mississippi Valley State (0-3, 0-0 Swac), Saturday, 5:00 p.m. (Swac TV)
Two former defensive former high-level football rear are looking for their first victory as head trainers this season, because someone’s “0” has Gotta Go (or does not do so, if the match ends with equality). The two teams come out open weeks, so everyone must be rested and concentrated. The Delta Devils made their sequence of five consecutive defeats against TSU with a victory at their last meeting in 2019. I do not plan that there are many fireworks in this match, because the two teams are on average 22 points combined per game. The quarter of the MVSU Josh Brown (349 yards in total, two affected, an interception) could provide the necessary spark at Terrell Buckley to win his first victory as a chief coach.
Tigers 20, Delta Devils 17
4. CONDITION OF DELAware (3-1) in Sacred Heart (3-1), Saturday, 12:00 (ESPN +)
With their best start since 2007, Delaware State is on average 32.3 points per game. Sacred Heart is equal to the 91st at the national level at 19.3 by competition. However, the pioneers scored 31 points in their victory against Norfolk State last Saturday. If Sacré-Coeur, which ranks 14th at the national level in possession, can control the clock and win the turnover battle as they did against the Spartans, this could be interesting.
Hornets 30, pioneers 21
3. State Grambling (3-1, 0-0 Swac) against Prairie View A&M (2-2, 1-0 Swac), Saturday, 7:00 p.m. (Swac TV) State Fair Classic
Do not look now, but Grambling State is about to go 4-1 for the first time since 2017, with his only defeat against Ohio State. Prairie View A&M is held on their way, which has won six of its last seven meetings, including a thriller of 36-34 at five hours of the previous year. The runners of Panther Chase Bingmon (60 races, 361 yards), Lamagea McDowell (15 races, 118 yards, two affected) and the quarter-Arrière Tevin Carter (498 yards in total, five affected) led Pvamu to 352 yards on the ground in their victory over the state of the northwest. The Tigers, on the other hand, abandon 127 yards per game on the field.
Panthers 27, Tigers 24
2. State of Alabama (2-1, 0-0 Swac) in Florida A & M (1-2, 0-0 Swac), Saturday, 3:00 p.m. (Hbcu Go)
Of course, the defeat of 28-13 of last season against the Rattlers is always cool in the minds of the Hornets. This is part of the motivation of the Alabama State this week, which has lost the last five meetings against Florida A&M – on average 15 points per competition – dating from 2008. Suppose the quarter of the Hornets Andrew Body can continue to play football without error (956 total yards, 11 affected, zero interceptions) against a defense of Rattler which gives 30.3 points. From the Alabama will win his first victory over the Famu in 22 years.
Hornets 31, Rattlers 17
1. # 19 Jackson State (2-1, 0-0 Swac) in Southern (1-3, 0-0 Swac), Saturday, 7:00 p.m. (ESPN +) Boombox Classic
The Boombox Classic should be an overview of the SWAC title game this pre-season. Quick advance until week 5, and the jaguars have seen their share of difficulties, exceeding 90-55 in three games against the opponents of the FCS (1-2). If the Jaguars want to expose for the defeat of the 41-13 championship match last season against Jackson State, the attack by Southern, led by the quarter-Arrière Cam’ron McCoy (493 yards in total, four affected, two interceptions), will have to understand how to move the ball on a defense of the tigers which allows an average of 17.3 points and 282.7 yards per competition.
Tigers 28, Jaguars 20
