Gilbert Arenas accused of having hosted high -end illegal poker games at the Los Angeles rental house

The former NBA star, Gilbert Arenas, and half a dozen others would have organized high-end illegal poker matches in a Los Angeles house rented by player “Agent Zero”, the federal authorities announced on Wednesday.
The seven were charged with the games that were carried out between September 12, 2021 and July 20, 2022, according to load documents.
The arenas “would rent a residence located on Gable Drive in Encino,” a suburban district of the San Fernando Valley in Los Angeles “in order to host illegal poker games,” said prosecutors in the judicial archives.
Although the accommodation of a cash poker game is not illegal by definition, this operation was transferred to a criminal act, because the organizers “would receive a” rake “-that is to say costs that the chamber would charge each pot as a percentage or by attachment by hand”, according to load documents.
The operation even included a poker labeled “Arenas Poker Club” with the image of the arenas in its basketball uniform and its famous Zero number, officials said.
