Gerwyn Price knows what it takes to win a world darts championship, but now he wants to experience it with the crowd and his family celebrating with him.

Price won the Worlds in 2021 with a 7-3 victory over Gary Anderson, but the Covid pandemic forced him to celebrate alone as crowds were not allowed in the venue.

Now he wants that feeling in front of the electric atmosphere of Alexandra Palace.

In the past, Price’s wish for the public to flourish might have been a surprise, but the Welshman has found a new connection with the public.

“I mean, 2020 was a little bit of a tough year for everyone. My best year was probably 2021. So yeah, it was good to win,” Price said. Aerial sports.

“It would be nice to have an audience and especially to have my family there, because I was there alone and there was literally no one there.

“So it would be very special if I could have the family and fans there to celebrate.

“It seems like I’m getting a good reception. Sometimes we have a bit of stuff at the beginning, which I don’t mind.

“But the public seems to be a lot more on my side now than in the past, which is a good thing.”
