Champions make their chance to claim a satisfactory point

Rangers’ offer for a third successive derby victory against Celtic was thwarted this afternoon while the champions retaliated to win a point on Ibrox.
Despite the domination of the Scottish Minister’s hoops this season, Barry Ferguson’s team was pursuing a trio of consecutive victories in the League in the same season against Arc rivals for the first time in 28 years.
And that looked at when Cyriel desders gave the local team a deserved advance on the half-time. But Celtic retaliated via Adam Idah to claim a part of the loot and maintain their advantage of 17 points at the top of the table.

Quick start of pumped hosts
The Rangers, feeling that it was an opportunity to claim at least a minimum of the end of the finish, started quickly and almost took the lead in two minutes.
The right corner of James Tavernier chose Leon Balogun and his head crashed against the bar and more.
The Rangers continued to press and the Celtic goalkeeper Viljami Sinisalo did well to first switch an effort in a loop of Vaclav Cerny, then another effort by Nico Raskin.
Raskin proved a threat and he thought he had opened the scoring after 25 minutes, but his head of a Tavernier free kick was excluded for offside.
Celtic had been the second best, but almost amazed the crowd of the house taking the lead themselves after 34 minutes, the imposing head of Cameron Carter-Vickers thundering the Rangers bar.
DESSERS strikes
The home goalkeeper Liam Kelly then saved brilliantly from Idah before, at the other end, the blocking was broken a minute later.
An intelligent Cerny model sculpted the space in the Celtic zone and the descriptions were not mistaken with a clear finish after Sinisalo for his 25th goal of the season.
The advance lasted 13 minutes, however, the Idah exploded after the ball fell on its way via A deviation John Souttar. There was a long Var check, but the goal was allowed to stand up.
Var has again played a key role with nine minutes to do.
The Rangers wanted a penalty after Ianis Hagi seemed to be the victim of a fault inside the region, but their calls were rejected.
Maeda crawls her lines
Despite their chance, Celtic almost won him with the final attack on the match.
The Tavernier Slack pass was seized by Reo Hatate and sent Daizen Maeda to the goal. The Japanese international had options, especially at the square of Johnny Kenny’s ball, but rather ran directly in Kelly.
