4 WWE Stars Jacob Fatu Could Be Revealed As Their Mystery Striker When He Returns Next Year

WWE Superstar Jacob Fatu has been out of action since the October 17 episode of SmackDown. The Samoan werewolf was eliminated by an unknown person, just before his match against Drew McIntyre for the number 1 contender spot.
There are rumors that the former United States Champion may return to WWE next year, after which he may reveal his attacker. In this list, we will discuss four names that could be revealed as Jacob Fatu’s striker.
Thanks for the submission!
#1 Former WWE Champion, Drew McIntyre
Suspicion has been on Drew McIntyre since day one. He was supposed to fight Jacob Fatu for the #1 contender spot to face Cody Rhodes for the undisputed WWE Championship. However, just before the match, Fatu was seen lying backstage.
SmackDown General Manager Nick Aldis has already warned McIntyre of serious consequences if he is found to be the perpetrator of the attack on Jacob Fatu. McIntyre could also be the person behind the attack on Jacob Fatu, as he needed to win this match at all costs to fight Cody for the Undisputed WWE Championship. Winning the match against the Samoan werewolf might have been difficult. So he must have thought about taking it out before the match.
Since Drew McIntyre and Cody Rhodes are scheduled to face off in a Three Stages of Hell match on the January 9 episode of next year’s SmackDown, Jacob Fatu may return that day to attack McIntyre and reveal his name as an attacker. The two can then quarrel to begin their story.
#3 Austin Theory
Austin Theory could be another superstar who could be behind the attack on Jacob Fatu. Even though the two don’t have a rivalry, Theory could have eliminated him on McIntyre’s instructions.
Austin Theory is now part of The Vision. He was the one who eliminated CM Punk at WWE Survivor Series: WarGames and helped The Vision win the match. Since the attack took place before Survivor Series, Theory could have been in contact with McIntyre, and the Scottish psychologist could have given him secret instructions to attack Jacob Fatu before the match.
#3 Solo Score
Solo Sikoa could also be behind the attack on Jacob Fatu. He has been at odds with his former teammate ever since Fatu left Bloodline 2.0, and their rivalry isn’t over yet. Jacob turned on Solo on June 7, 2025, during PLE Money in the Bank. The betrayal came after months of backbiting and tweeting.
The two faced each other for the WWE United States Championship at WWE Night of Champions PLE on June 28, 2025, when a debuting Hikuleo helped Solo Sikoa defeat Jacob Fatu and win the United States Championship.
The two faced off again for the US title at SummerSlam in August in a Steel Cage match, but Solo Sikoa won the bout with help from his MFT comrades. Jacob then got revenge by helping Sami Zayn defeat Solo for the United States Title on the August 29 episode of SmackDown.
Solo Sikoa could have ordered one of his men to secretly eliminate Jacob Fatu before the Samoan werewolf defeated McIntyre and challenged for the undisputed championship. This entire backstage attack could have been orchestrated by Solo to simply deny Jacob Fatu a title shot.
#1 Randy Orton
The Viper Randy Orton could also be the man behind Jacob Fatu’s attack. Despite having no rivalry with The Samoan Werewolf, Orton could have eliminated Fatu just to prevent him from getting a shot at the title against Cody Rhodes. He could also have worked as Drew McIntyre’s secret agent and would have obeyed McIntyre’s orders.
The Viper last appeared on SmackDown on the October 3 episode when he teamed with Cody Rhodes to take on Bron Breakker and Bronson Reed.
He has since moved away from WWE. If Orton is revealed as the man behind Jacob Fatu’s attack, it would be a turning point for The Apex Predator. Her heel turn has been long overdue, and it might be here soon.
It now remains to be seen who Jacob Fatu’s attacker turned out to be.
