Galatasaray closes on the signature of Ilkay Gundogan by Manchester City

Manchester City concluded an agreement with Galatasaray for the transfer of Ilkay Gundogan, according to reports in Germany.

This decision will mark another high -level departure from the Pep Guardiola team, after the release of Kevin de Bruyne earlier this summer, Ederson and Manuel Akanji also expected from the transfer date.

Sky Germany and Fabrizio Romano report that City and Galatasaray have already agreed, although the exact details are not disclosed.

The agreement now depends on Gundogan, finalizing personal terms with the Turkish champions, which offer a net salary of 5 million euros reported.

The 33 -year -old midfielder has another year on his city contract, having joined the club in 2024 after putting an end to his Barcelona agreement to help the financial situation of the Catalans.

Gundogan previously expressed his interest in playing for Galatasaray, and optimism increases that the transfer will be completed in the coming days.

This decision comes after Galatasaray failed to finish the goalkeeper of the city Ederson earlier this summer, the Brazilian for the Ferocious Rivals Fenerbahce.

The security of Gundogan would however represent a major declaration of intention of the reigning champions of Super Lig.

For City, losing Gundogan and Bruyne in the same window would leave the side of Guardiola almost unrecognizable from the one who has raised several titles of Premier League and the Champions League in recent years.
