Gabriel Moreno had three shots, including a big home, Brandon Pfaadt won his sixth game from the National League, and the Arizona Diamondbacks beat Los Angeles Dodgers 5-3 Thursday in Phoenix.

Moreno and Ketel Marte have each hit their first season for the season for the D-Backs, who sent the start of the Yoshinobu Yamamoto Dodgers (4-3) when it comes to the least effective of the season. Yamamoto saw his ERA double from 0.90 to 1.81 at the top of NL after authorizing five points on six strokes in five rounds. He withdrew four and walked one.

Shohei Ohtani hit Solo Homer with two withdrawals in the ninth, but Kevin Ginkel then withdrew Mookie Betts on a fly ball for his first stop of the season.

Pfaadt (6-2) launched 6 1/3-roundless innings and abandoned four strokes, all in simple, while walking three and withdrawing six. Jalen Beeks entered with one in the seventh and withdrew Enrique Hernandez and Ohtani to the pleasure of most of the 40,319 present.

Max Muncy succeeded in two strokes and a point produced while Betts and Will Smith added two strokes each for the Dodgers, who lost three of the five.

Moreno’s fourth round slam opened the scoring. The Martece circuit in the fifth made 5-0 before the Dodgers mark twice in the eighth round twice off Juan Morillo.

Betts chose to open the Channel and Smith chose it thirdly with a withdrawal. Muncy struck a double land rule to a deep center, a bullet that would have marked the two runners if she had stayed in the field of the game.

Andy Pages chose Smith to put runners in the corners before the second Marte goal player went far to the left to start a double end of the round game and keep the 5-2 score.

Moreno has 25 for 75 (0.333) with five circuits and 21 points produced in 21 regular season games and in playoffs against dodgers since its acquisition of Blue Jays in Toronto before the 2023 season.

The two D-Backs circuits equaled the number that Yamamoto had abandoned during his first 40 sleeves, both against the Detroit Tigers at his second start to the season.

Arizona had lost four of its six previous games.
