The second edition of the Chhattisgarh Cricket Premier League (CCPL) began on June 6 and will end on June 15. The 18 games of the tournament will be played at the Shaheed Veer Narayan Singh International Cricket Stadium in New Raipur.
Bilaspur Bulls, Raipur Rhinos, Raigarh Lions, Rajnandgaon Panthers, Furguja Tigers and Bastar Bisons are the six participating teams. With a unique round format, all the teams will lock the horns with each other once at the League stadium. Then, the four best teams will appear in the semi-finals, and the winners will run up in the final.
The inaugural edition saw the rhinoceros emerge like the champions after having beaten the panthers of eight counters in the final. Ashutosh Singh (359 points) and Ashish Chouhan (15 counters) were the best interpreters in the tournament.
The eminent player to present in the League is the punjab Kings striker, Shashank Singh, who captain the Bulls. The other players to monitor in the tournament are Ajay Jadav Mandal, who is one of Delhi’s capitals, and Shubham Agrawal (former player of Gujarat Lions).
