Frustrated by silence, the residents of Pinellas organize their own town hall without us the representative Anna Paulina Luna

Listen:
Many members of the congress across the country refused to welcome the town halls to hear the concerns of their voters.
Now, some residents of Pinellas take matters into hand and organize a town hall without their member of the congress, Anna Paulina Luna.
Since March, the organizers say they have called, sent an email and even rallied outside the office of the member of the Congress Anna Paulina Luna to ask for a town hall, but said that they had been told no.
Cynthia Lippert is an organizer of the indivisible group Florida 13.
“We depend on this, that voters and voters have a chance to speak to their representative and have a voice that is taken to Washington DC, and that does not happen. This has disappeared,” said Lipppert.
They therefore plan a town hall. Thursday evening from 6 to 7:30 am, participants will make statements and express the concerns for Luna.
“We have a serious situation, being a peninsula surrounded by water, the environment, our demography has many elderly people. And we need Social Security and Medicaid,” said Lippert.
Lippert says they will be recorded and sent to him.
“The priorities like putting President Trump on Mount Rushmore? These are not our priorities,” said Lippert.
It expects citizens to talk about their concerns, such as reductions in social security and health insurance due to the older population of Pinellas.
The event will take place at the united Methodist church in Pinellas Park.
Anna Paulina Luna did not respond to the request for WMNF comments.
