Spurs open the first discussions to sign 70 million pounds sterling CM

Two weeks after sparking his liberation clause of 60 million pounds sterling in the Morgan Gibbs-White contract, Tottenham Hotspur has not yet concluded an agreement for his signature.

The saga continues to be dragged, the midfielder now returning to pre-season training and even on tour with his current outfit, Nottingham Forest.

We do not know what could happen in the coming weeks, with an agreement that drags and restricts the company that Thomas Frank can make in his first window in charge.

Whether the player wants to move or not, no agreement can progress until the illegal approach with the Reds is resolved, which could take time when it comes to Evangelos Marinakis.

Without a doubt, other targets are carried out as a result of the delay, possibly seeing the hierarchy moving away from a move for Gibbs-White and targeting other premier League talents.

The last on spurs hunting for new additions this summer

In the past two weeks, Harvey Elliott has been praised with a movement to join the Spurs, seeking to add a new quality in attack areas in northern London.

The Liverpool star could be an expensive addition this summer, with the Arne Slot team requiring costs in the region of 40 million pounds sterling to unload the 22 -year -old window.

However, he is not the only Premier League player currently in sight, which led to behind the scenes to sign the Manchester United star, Kobbie Main.

According to TBR Football, the Lilywhites contacted the Red Devils to ask questions about a potential decision for the 20 -year -old, who made 37 appearances in all competitions last season.

The report also indicates that the player could leave Old Trafford this summer, after contractual interviews between the player and the club recently reached a dead end.

The previous allegations suggested that United has placed a requested price of 70 million pounds sterling on the head of the midfielder earlier in summer.

Why the last target of Spurs is a greater talent than Gibbs-White

At the time of his transfer of 44.5 million pounds sterling to the forest, the eyebrows were raised on the scale of the costs, but it is sure to say that the 25 -year -old justified every penny during his stay on the city of the city.

The former Wolves star posted a total of 18 goals and 26 assists for the Nuno Espírito Santo team during his 118 appearances for the club, remaining as one of the few players who remains of their first season in the high flight of England.

He has even taken responsibility for being their club captain lately, leading the Reds to European football for the first time in three decades.

As well as his addition would be to Frank de Frank this window, there are better offers to have, especially given the drama that the hierarchy is currently faced with the forest.

Mainoo could just prove that for Lilywhites, already producing many high-level exploits which are undoubtedly better than what Gibbs-White has achieved.

The youngster has already scored a key goal in a semi-final of the Europa League, while being part of the England team during the Euro 2024 tournament last summer.

His statistics from the Premier League last season also indicate why he would be a key addition, managing to surpass the 25 -year -old man in several areas that are crucial for a midfielder.

Mainoo, which was labeled “generational” by his teammate Rasmus Hojlund, finished more passes than he tried, while finishing more catches, obviously prospering with the ball at his feet.

Outside possession, he was just as dominant, winning more plated by 90, while registering a higher recovery count-potentially the perfect option of box-tobox for the Frank team.

Although it is not clear to what extent an agreement for the young person would cost Lilywhites this summer, it is clear that it is already a greater talent than the star of the forest – having the potential to improve more in the years to come.

If the hierarchy could conclude an agreement for the signing of Mainoo, it would certainly be a signature of declaration, handing over to the new boss the talents he needs to be a success in northern London.
