Garena is set to roll out the Free Fire MAX OB51 update on October 29, featuring a fiery new theme, major gameplay overhauls, balancing tweaks, and a brand new character named Nero. Fire MAX OB51 Free Update: Flame Arena Takes Over the Battlefield
The new Flame Arena The mode introduces flamboyant visuals and dynamic match endings. In Battle Royaleteams are assigned banners in the sky representing their identity. When a banner’s teams are wiped out, their emblem burns. Towards the final stages, a Flame zone replaces the normal out-of-zone and an indicator light Flame Trophy appears in the last safe zone. The victorious team is rewarded with a special flame-themed Booyah animation.
In Shock SquadBanners, Flame Zones, and Trophies follow similar mechanics, with the entire CS Store and spawn areas reworked to fit the flaming theme.
New flamethrower weapons
To match the Fire Arena, several new Flamethrower weapons debut in all modes. These weapons, such as the Trogon-Flamer, FAMAS-III-Flamer, and VSK94-Flamer, fire blasts of flame or grenades that deal powerful AoE damage. They are available in Battle Royale weapon racks and the CS Store.

A new Great leg pockets Loadout merges several previous utilities like Bonfire and Armor Crate into one compact startup package. Meanwhile, BR loot mechanics have been refined for more balanced progression. High-tier gear now spawns less frequently, while players start matches with more basic gear like medkits and inhalers.
Advanced Recovery and Arsenal Upgrades
Advanced resuscitation points Now revive fully equipped players and include nearby bonus loot chests. Furthermore, the Arsenal system allows players to upgrade Looting Stations using FF Coins for higher tier rewards and red tier weapons.
Navigation and resource tools
Features like Marking waypoints, Weapon racks, Gloo MushroomAnd Gloo UAV-Lite have been added to improve move planning, faster gearing, and managing the durability of the Gloo Wall during fights.

The highlight of the OB51 patch is Neroa survivor with dream-based powers. His active skill Cryogenic Spirit deploys a floating plush toy that explodes to form a “dream space”. Inside this field, enemies take damage over time and cannot deploy Gloo Walls, making it a powerful tool for flushing out opponents from cover. Destroying Nero’s stuffed animal marks the attacker for a few seconds.
Rebalanced characters and weapons
Adjustments have been made to characters like Ford And Kairosimproving ability timings and recovery mechanics. Several weapons like PARAFAL And Thompson have been improved, while others, like the Mini Uzi, receive balancing tweaks. Sniper and rifle HP loss rates have also been adjusted for faster combat.
