Kevin Stefanski Under Fire: Browns Loss to Vikings highlights key problems

I was a long -standing believer from Kevin Stefanski, but it becomes more and more difficult to defend some of the decisions he made this year.

With a chance to win on the road in London, Stefanski completely managed the stopwatch. They had the opportunity to burn all the downtime from the Vikings or get the clock for less than three minutes, but Stefanski decided to spend a third and long, which stopped the chronometer and giving too much time to Minnesota.

Then, Carson Wentz was never really under pressure on a winning journey of the match where he chose the defense of Cleveland. And to top it off, Stefanski used all the waiting times of the Browns on this disc, trying to keep time on the clock if (when) the Vikings have marked.

This decision was in training in the mind. You have your elite defense. If you hold them to a goal in the field, you will have a chance to set up a winning disc where you only need to get three instead of the bottom area. And when the opponent has Justin Jefferson, you cannot continue to give them free waiting times to take ways to open it.

Speaking of Jefferson, having a player like that is precisely what this Browns offense is missing. Of course, there is no one in the league like Jefferson, but the Browns do not even have a solid number two receiver in this team at the moment.

Dillon Gabriel played as well as he could have given the difficult circumstances to which he inherited. As I just said, he has no outside receiver to throw. Even if he had someone to throw, would he even have enough time to launch the ball at the bottom?

I doubt it.

This Browns offensive line may be the most pathetic I have ever had the dissatisfaction to look at. Whenever this offense made a kind of momentum, it was immediately recalled with an illegal outfit or training. It is impossible for a recruit quarter to enter any momentum when all other walks, the offensive begins a first and 20.

Cleveland’s defense was again solid, but the last training really embittered me on their overall performance today. The only guy I’m really satisfied today is Quinshon Judkins.

It is the only article on the offense that I can guarantee to be in the team next year. I am not even sure of what I am most impressed by Judkins. He has an Elite vision, an incredible jump after his first cut, and his ability to absorb contact is one of the best in football. The Browns have absolutely nailed this choice. Now they have to start building around him.

This is a good thing that the calendar opens next week with a match in Pittsburgh after a long return flight from London. It could be a very long, Cleveland Browns football season.
