Frankenstein creates the monster in a new look at the adaptation of Guillermo del Toro while Rotten Tomatoes score

Although the first reactions to Guillermo del Toro Frankenstein were definitely mixed after the world premiere of the film at Venice Film Festival last week, the adaptation of the favorite filmmaker of fans of the classic novel by Mary Shelley still managed to win a sufficiently decent score on Rotten Tomatoes.

Since then, more opinions have been added, and Frankenstein is now 81% very respectable on the aggregator.

The RT system is notoriously defective, however, and after reading the complete criticism, it is difficult to escape the feeling that a lot of criticism – even those who granted the film a “fresh” note – has become disappointed.

Aside from criticism, there is still a lot of excitement for this film among horror fans, and EW Now has shared new fixed images in the promo showing Victor Frankenstein (Oscar Isaac), and his interest in love Elizabeth Lavenza (Mia Goth).

“When we find it for the first time [Victor]He is this tattered man at the end of the Arctic. He is terrified. He runs. You don’t know if he fled or goes through something or what’s going on, “ Isaac says from his point of view on the tormented protagonist in history. “As Victor tells his story, he begins with his father and his own creation.” How did I have been created? How was this person created? And if I’m going to tell you about this horrible secret that I have, I must tell you how it happened. And it is with my own father. “” So when Guillermo and I met for the first time, that is what we mainly talked about. We did not even speak about Frankenstein. “”

Victor’s obsession for death cheating leads to the creation of an unnamed “monster”, which will be brought back by Saltburn and the star of Euphoria Jacob Elordi.

“They are a mirror of each other. It is only these twin things, a bit like his story: the way a father transmits to a son, and this son becomes a father and transmits him to his son, and the way in which these circles continue and continue and continue,” Said Isaac. “At the end, this sorrow occurs, and this forgiveness occurs. And hope is that this creature, which is all put in place to create chaos and violence, stops in a way and changes everything.”

“He did so much work in a short time, and as soon as he walked on the set, he is heartbreaking”, “ Isaac continued, praising his co-star. “Both frightening and strange and mysterious and graceful, and very beautiful.”

Frankenstein focuses on a brilliant but selfish scientist (Oscar Isaac) who puts a creature (Elordi) to life in an experience that ultimately leads to the defeat of the Creator and his tragic creation.

“This film concludes a quest that started at the age of 7, when I saw the films of Frankenstein by James Whale for the first time. I felt the shaking of recognition in this seminal moment: the Gothic horror became my church, and Boris Karloff my messiah,” Del Toro said in a statement when the project was announced for the first time.

Frankenstein will receive a limited theatrical version on October 17 and a world arc from Netflix on November 7.
