Frankenstein creates the monster in a new look at the adaptation of Guillermo del Toro while Rotten Tomatoes score
Although the first reactions to Guillermo del Toro Frankenstein were definitely mixed after the world premiere of the film at Venice Film Festival last week, the adaptation of the favorite filmmaker of fans of the classic novel by Mary Shelley still managed to win a sufficiently decent score on Rotten Tomatoes.
Since then, more opinions have been added, and Frankenstein is now 81% very respectable on the aggregator.
The RT system is notoriously defective, however, and after reading the complete criticism, it is difficult to escape the feeling that a lot of criticism – even those who granted the film a “fresh” note – has become disappointed.
Aside from criticism, there is still a lot of excitement for this film among horror fans, and EW Now has shared new fixed images in the promo showing Victor Frankenstein (Oscar Isaac), and his interest in love Elizabeth Lavenza (Mia Goth).

Victor’s obsession for death cheating leads to the creation of an unnamed “monster”, which will be brought back by Saltburn and the star of Euphoria Jacob Elordi.

Frankenstein focuses on a brilliant but selfish scientist (Oscar Isaac) who puts a creature (Elordi) to life in an experience that ultimately leads to the defeat of the Creator and his tragic creation.
“This film concludes a quest that started at the age of 7, when I saw the films of Frankenstein by James Whale for the first time. I felt the shaking of recognition in this seminal moment: the Gothic horror became my church, and Boris Karloff my messiah,” Del Toro said in a statement when the project was announced for the first time.
Frankenstein will receive a limited theatrical version on October 17 and a world arc from Netflix on November 7.
