Frank Warren says Tyson Fury wants to come back and fight one man: ‘He’s told me that many times’

Even though Tyson Fury’s return remains up in the air, there still appears to be one fight in particular that he would take in a heartbeat.
The 37-year-old called time on his storied career earlier this year, shortly after suffering a second points defeat to Oleksandr Usyk.
It was, in fact, a unanimous verdict that allowed the masterful Ukrainian to retain his undisputed status, firmly cementing him as the top dog in the land of giants.
Yet despite this, Fury has since insisted he should have emerged victorious, just as he claimed to have won their first heavyweight encounter in May 2024.
At the time, “The Gypsy King” got off to a strong start, before suffering an eight count in the ninth round and ultimately losing by split decision to his accomplished rival.
Usyk, after successfully defending his belts against Daniel Dubois last July, has since maintained his position as the true heavyweight king while relinquishing his WBO world title last week.
As a result, top contender Fabio Wardley was quickly promoted from interim champion to full-fledged WBO champion, leading everyone to wonder what Usyk is likely to do next.
Meanwhile, there appears to be a plan for Fury to finally face Anthony Joshua in 2026, with Turki Alalshikh having expressed interest in an all-British showdown.
Joshua will first face YouTuber-turned-boxer Jake Paul on December 19, before embarking on a controversial fight in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, next February.
But while Fury-Joshua seems to be the obvious matchup, Queensberry Promotions boss Frank Warren told Seconds Out that, if, indeed, Fury is to stage a return, then a trilogy clash with Usyk will likely take priority.
“[Usyk is] the guy everyone has to beat – he’s the best of his generation. I know Tyson wants to fight him; he told me this over and over again.
The fight I would like to see, because I think he deserves it, is Tyson [against Usyk]. But let’s see what happens with Moses [Itauma]let’s see what happens with Fabio [Wardley].
He is a superb fighter, [Usyk]but someone will have the keys to this door.
