France’s possible starting XI to face Ukraine

The qualifiers for the 2026 World Cup, which will take place in the United States, Mexico and Canada, are coming to an end and at UEFA everything remains to be defined. For this reason, the French team will try to score three points against Ukraine to consolidate themselves as leader of Group D.

These nations had already met a month ago during the first day and the result was favorable to the Gauls. Indeed, on French soil, the Ukrainians have never managed to win a match, leaving their record at two victories and a draw, in addition to eleven goals scored and only two against.

The possible alignment of France against Ukraine

By: Mike Maigan – Against Iceland he received two goals which meant that the match ended in a draw, although he had remained undefeated against Azerbaijan, with this he will start no matter what.

LD: Jules Koundé – The Barcelona Football Club player did not see any activity during the last round of La Liga, this to take care of his physical condition and thus be able to compete with him for the upcoming confrontations.

DFC: William Saliba – In the last matches against the Azerbaijanis and the Icelanders, he was the undisputed starter, just like he is with Arsenal, where he rarely comes off the bench unless the situation requires it.

DFC: Dayot Upamecano – This man is brilliant with the ball, against Iceland he made 97 passes in the entire match, for an efficiency of 96%, even if this sometimes causes him to lose balls at the start.

LI: Lucas Digne – The Aston Villa footballer provided an assist for the first goal against the Vikings, in fact, in eleven matches he participated in three goals with the Aston Villa jersey in the Premier League.

MD: Michael Olise – The Bayern Munich star occupies the right wing, a little further back than he plays for his club, but with a modified profile, he will be able to attack from the second line.

MC: Kouadio Koné – The Roma player participated in all matches of this meeting, with the exception of the one against Azerbaijan, where he remained on the bench. We will see him face this closure in the face of the World Cup.

MC: N’golo Kanté – Going back a little further, we will see this man from Al-Ittihad, who recently joined the group after raising his level, at the discretion of Didier Deschamps.

MI: Bradley Barcola – Like Olise, he would play a little further away than at PSG. The young man has a lot of forward projection, but will need help from Koundé defensively.

AGC: Ryan Cherki – He will play freely in midfield behind Mbappé and will be able to generate a lot of play and enable Kylian with filtered passes and speed, instead of DC having to generate his opportunities alone.

DC: Kyian Mbappé – After a good performance against Azerbaijan where he delivered an assist and scored a goal, the Real Madrid player left the bench due to illness and did not continue in the squad. Today, he is healthy and ready to take his team to the World Cup.
