Spinoff ‘Big Bang Theory’ “Stuart does not save the universe” Greenlit

The spin-off “Big Bang Theory” “Stuart does not save the universe” was officially Green-Bloved in Hbo Max, Variety learned.
This was initially announced as being in development in April 2023. As indicated above, the casting of the series is made up of former “Big Bang Theory” Kevin Sussman, Lauren Lapkus, Brian Posenn and John Ross Bowie. The series is from Co-creators Chuck Lorre, Zak Penn and Bill Prady.
“We are delighted to continue the legacy of” The Big Bang Theory “. Like the original series, this new chapter would not be possible without the vision and shine of the narration of Chuck Lorre and Bill Prady, as well as Zak Penn, who brought a new idea and a distinctive voice to an already exceptional creative team, “said Casey Bloys, President and CEO of HBO and HBO Max Content.
HBO Max has also officially confirmed the details of the plot for the program for the first time. The logline indicates:
“The owner of the comic strip Stuart Bloom (Sussman) is responsible for restoring reality after having broken a device built by Sheldon and Leonard, accidentally causing a multi -man Armageddon. Stuart is helped in this quest by his girlfriend Denise (Lapkus), the geologist Bert (Posenn) and the physicist in quantumin, they meet in the ass Barry Kripke (Bowie). Versions of characters of alternative characters that we know and love “The Big Bang Theory”. As the title suggests, things are not going well. »»
“I wanted to do something radical that would make me get out of my comfort zone. Something that the characters of” The Big Bang Theory “would have liked, hated and discussed,” said Lorre.
The series is produced by Chuck Lorre Productions in association with Warner Bros. Television, where Lorre is under a global agreement. Lorre, Penn and Prady are also executive producers.
“I was in a quest for vision in the most remote parts of the Amazon forest when a carrier pigeon arrived with a note from Chuck Lorre by asking if I wanted to help make a program that the characters of” Big Bang Theory “would look,” said Penn. “I couldn’t resist this idea, so I wrapped my yurt and praised the next direction.
It will now be the fourth show of the “Big Bang” universe. Aside from the Mothership Show, which lasted 12 seasons very well rated on CBS, the prequel “Young Sheldon” finished its own seven seasons race at the Broadcast Network in May 2024. A spin-off of this program, “Georgie & Mandy’s First Marriage” with Montana Jordan and Emily Osment, has been starting since October 17. Renowned (or new reproduces) itself under the name of HBO Max.
“The process of writing this show with Chuck and Zak was damn fun, and I am sure that joy will go through the screen,” said Prady. “Put characters that we love from” The Big Bang Theory “in a complex science fiction story with the kind of mythology that these characters love while maintaining the comic elements are incredibly satisfactory.”
“Chuck and Bill gave us one of the most durable comedies of our time with” The Big Bang Theory “, and we can’t wait to see the universe continue with this new series,” added Channing Dungey, Chairman and CEO of Warner Bros. Television Group and WBD US Networks. “With the help of Zak – a masterful storyteller – this next iteration promises to capture the essence of what fans liked from the original series, but with a completely fresh turn. We thank our HBO Max partners for joining us in this next adventure.”
Speaking in a panel of the World Media Festival Banff in June, Lorre has teased that the new show would be completely away from “The Big Bang Theory” in terms of look on the screen.
“There are a lot of CGI,” said Lorre. “There are a lot of special technical things that – you know, for me in my career, a large production number was two people sitting on a sofa, drinking coffee! It’s different. It is trying to incorporate part of this science fiction / fantasy world in a comedy. And I don’t have any experience with my element.
