Former Test Guy Ned Fulmer Reveals MS Diagnosis

Ned Fulmer revealed Sunday that he has suffered from multiple sclerosis for 12 years.
The internet personality and former member of The Try Guys announced the news in a video posted to YouTube on November 23 titled “I Have MS.” Fulmer explained that in 2013, after experiencing numbness in his hands, arms and back for several days, he went to the hospital for an MRI. The results revealed brain damage.
“The doctor said to me, ‘You probably have MS,’ and I was like, ‘What is this? Isn’t it really serious?’ Fulmer called back. “I was totally in denial, [I] I didn’t want to have MS.
Fulmer said he hoped the numbness would go away on its own and left the hospital. However, the symptoms got worse. He remembers a severe scare as he walked to the bathroom in the middle of the night and collapsed from weakness. He was then rushed to hospital for further examination and treatment.
He said of the incident: “I remember sitting in that hospital bed and it got worse, I was so scared and wondering if I was going to be able to walk again. »
Fortunately, after receiving medication, he was able to move his legs again. Fulmer said the recovery “felt like a miracle.” Now, more than a decade before his diagnosis, Fulmer said a recent MRI came back “clean,” but added that he still struggles with “low-level sensory issues.”
“I kept this very secret for a long time and I don’t think it’s very healthy for me,” Fulmer said. “I’m trying to be more open, just in conversation, and I’m very grateful to be in remission, and I’m very happy to make this video.”
