Former FBI director James Comey has charged

Former FBI director James Comey was charged by a great federal jury, an extraordinary escalation in President Donald Trump’s efforts to continue his political enemies.
Comey, a long -standing opponent of the president, is now the first senior government leader to face federal accusations in one of Trump’s largest grievances: the 2016 investigation to find out if his first presidential campaign collapsed with Russia.
He was accused of having made false declarations and obstruction to justice, according to a familiar source.
The Attorney General Pam Bondi said in a position on X: “No one is above the law.”
“Today’s accusation act reflects the commitment of this Ministry of Justice to hold those who abuse positions of power responsible for having deceived the American people,” wrote Bondi. “We will follow the facts in this case.”
The indictment on Thursday evening comes when CNN previously reported Bondi’s concerns and the prosecutors had on the case.
Bondi faces Trump’s pressure, which demands that his political enemies be confronted with criminal accusations as he used to. But lawyers in the Virginia Oriental District recently wrote a memo detailing their reserves on the search for the indictment, ABC News reported.
Bondi is concerned with the case, which focuses on the question of whether Comey made false statements during the testimony of the congress involving the 2016 investigation into Russian interference in the American presidential election, according to a person familiar with his reflection, although she thinks that it would be possible to bring an indictment.
Thursday at the White House, Trump said: “They will take a determination. I do not take this determination. I think I would be allowed to get involved if I want, but I don’t really choose to do it.”
Comey, however, is a “bad person”, added the president.
The Attorney General dined at the Rose Garden White House with Trump and others on Wednesday evening.
Lindsey Halligan, the former personal lawyer of Trump and the new main prosecutor in the Virginia Oriental District, was spotted at the Ministry of Justice this week, where sources say that she was part of Conversations on the opportunity to charge Comey. Halligan also had questions about the case, according to an informed source of discussions.
Publically and in private, Trump complained that prosecutors were willing to carry many criminal cases against him when he was not in office, noting that in these cases, he was accused of everything they had at the time, according to a person familiar with the discussions. The person added that Trump has repeatedly said that the Ministry of Justice should bring the best possible cases with regard to their political opponents and let the court decide.
“I just want people to act. And we want to act quickly,” Trump told journalists on Saturday leaving the White House. “If they are not guilty, that’s good. If they are guilty, or if they were to be charged, they should be charged and we have to do it now.”
Some inside the White House perceive Halligan’s desire to carry the case as it jumps on a grenade to please Trump – although that is why it was chosen to play the role of directing the Oriental District of Virginia. While several officials from the Ministry of Justice are concerned about the strength of any case against Comey, several political aids share a different point of view: they have pursued Trump, so that people like Comey deserve to be pursued too.
“I am always happy to talk about … Comey, who is of course corrupted, who of course engaged in large quantities of illegal and illegal conduct, which was of course at the center of the attack and the assault of Gate Russia against American democracy, “said the deputy chief of the White House on Wednesday evening.”
Trump’s sales advisor Peter Navarro called on Comey imprisonment for a multitude of grievorld grits – many of which have already examined and have not found a reason to charge.
Navarro previously had time in the federal prison for refusing to comply with the assignments of the congress in the investigation into the investigation into the investigation into the investigation into the investigation into the investigation into the investigation into the investigation into the investigation into the investigation into the investigation into the investigation into the investigation into the investigation into the investigation into the investigation into the investigation into the investigation into the investigation into the investigation into the investigation into the investigation into The efforts to overthrow the 2020 presidential election leading to the riot of the American Capitol on January 6, 2021.
“There are many people who should be in prison in my opinion, and I think in the judgment of many people in the Trump administration,” said Navarro. “James Comey is at the top of this list now.”
