For Good actress Dorothy reveals behind-the-scenes photos

British actress Bethany Weaver gushed about her “life-changing experience” donning the blue gingham dress and heading down the Yellow Brick Road for the second installment of Jon M. Chu’s emotional musical adaptation as she shared some photos from the set.

“What an honor it was to walk the yellow brick road with my fellow witch hunters @jbayleaf @ethanslater @omariabernard and not forgetting Oscar the dog! (Toto),” she began the caption.

In addition to thanking Universal Pictures and Tamsyn Manson Casting, Weaver wrote, “A huge thank you to the best filmmaker of all time @jonmchu for casting me to be your Dorothy in this wonderfully wicked universe called Oz. Thank you for contributing to my debut.”

“It was a life-changing experience, it changed me in so many ways and most importantly, for good,” she added. “It has been an honor to carry on the legacy of the brilliant women before me who put on these shoes and set out on the Yellow Brick Road. I hope I have made them proud.”

Weaver wrote: “Thank you for the amount of love, kind messages and support from all my friends, family and glorious, wicked fans, I love you all so much! Much love, your friend, Dorothy.”

After Chu noted that Dorothy would be more present in the second part of his Wicked adaptation, he teased that they “tread lightly,” previously explaining that she “is a pawn” in Elphaba (Cynthia Erivo) and Glinda’s (Ariana Grande) story.
