Flyers acquires Carl Grundstrom and Artem Guryev de San Jose in exchange for Ryan Ellis and 2026 6th choice

The Philadelphia flyers announced that they had acquired forward Carl Grundstrom and defender Artem Guryev San Jose Sharks, in exchange for defender Ryan Ellis and a choice of sixth conditional round in the NHL recovery in 2026 according to the director general Daniel Briere.
The condition on the choice of the sixth round is that San Jose will receive the previous two choices that Philadelphia currently has in the sixth round in 2026, his and Columbus. The flyers now have five choices in the draft of the NHL 2026. They have a choice in each of the first three laps, one in the sixth and a choice in the seventh round.
Basic current27 (12/1/1997), collected three goals and nine points in 56 games during the 2024-25 campaign for San Jose. The 6 -foot and 200 pound winger played 292 career games in the NHL in certain seven seasons and totaled 43 goals and 33 assists for 76 points. In addition to his NHL totals, he has 30 goals and 72 points at 99 games in the American Hockey League.
Originally from Umea, Sweden, Grundstrom played four seasons in the Swedish Hockey League (SHL) and won the league championship in 2016-17 before coming to North America. He was drafted by the Toronto Maple Leafs in the second round (57th in total) in 2016.
Guryev22 (5/17/2003), was written by the Sharks of San Jose in the fifth round (135th in total) in 2021 and signed his entry contract in April 2023.
The 6-foot defender 4 inch and 225 pounds spent the 2024-25 season with Wichita Thunder in ECHL where he recorded five points (2G-3A) in 47 games. He made his debut in the American hockey league during the 2023-24 campaign where he collected four points (2G-2A) and recorded the second most criminal minutes of the team with 81.
Guryev will fall under the Flyers Ahl the Lehigh Valley Phantoms subsidiary.
