Fluminense 0-0 Dortmund (June 17, 2025) Analysis of the game

Fluminense held Borussia Dortmund in a 0-0 draw during his opening match of the world group F in New Jersey on Tuesday, while the Brazilian team was left on the height of the missed occasions at the Metlife Stadium.

Fluminense was firmly in control against Dortmund in the first half, but the goalkeeper of the Bundesliga team, Gregor Kobel, produced a handful of superb stops to frustrate the Brazilian team in front of a crowd mainly in their favor.

After Dortmund had a hard time getting started in the match without any move in the first half, Kobel did his part with a remarkable double sponge halfway from the second half and the late frenzied efforts on both sides were not rewarded.

New Dortmund Arrival Jobe Bellingham, the younger brother of Real Madrid, Jude Bellingham, made his first appearance for the club as a 60th minute replacement.

Fans of Fluminense Agriptants arrived early and applauded wildly while their team applied early pressure, with the firing of the Jhon Arias winger to the upper corner saved by Kobel in the 17th minute.

The Fluminense Martineli midfielder missed thumbs in the 34th minute and Kobel saved another beautiful Arias attempt two minutes later.

Jobe Bellingham is fighting for the ball with the German cano in Fluminense in his club world club match.

Kobel kept the powerful Fluminese Everaldo striker from the outside of the 69th minute box and jumped to block an effort to track the nono midfielder, a few moments later.

While scorching in the United States aroused concerns about well-being through the tournament, players were treated to a covered sky and mild temperatures in front of a modest crowd of 34,736 in the NFL stadium at around 82,000.

The German club qualified for the club World Cup with a finish among the first four in the Bundesliga, while Fluminense qualified as a champion of the Copa Libertadores 2023.

Fluminense played more aggressively, with an advantage of 14-7 in shots. Dortmund held the advantage of possession at 54.5%.
