Flood Watch in the DC region while showers and thunderstorms threaten throughout the weekend

WASHINGTON – Flood surveillance is in effect on Friday evening until the end of this evening for DC, and some parts of Maryland and Virginia, because showers and thunderstorms threaten the region throughout the weekend.
Watch in force tonight
Temperatures will start in the 1960s superior to Bas-70 Friday morning with a dry start. However, after several days of dry time, pop-up showers and storms should develop in the afternoon and evening.
A nearby front will keep the unstable conditions for the coming days. Some storms can be in slow motion, with potential impacts that last in the evening and at midnight. Brief dry periods are expected early on Saturday, but another cycle of afternoon storms is likely.
Storms expected all weekend
If the storms do not arrive on Friday, expect a greater chance of rain on Saturday and the Fathers Day on Sunday. The unstable model could continue at the beginning of next week.
Thursday’s summit reached 92 degrees, with the 80s superior to the 90s expected on Friday.
Preparation of the flooded watch
Strong precipitation could lead to sudden floods in low zones and prone to floods. Excessive runoff can cause rivers, streams and rivers. Several inches of rain are possible.
