Flanders Darts Trophy: Luke Littler crosses but Michael Van Gerwen dropped early in Belgium | Darts News

Luke Littler crossed the last 16 of the Flanders Darts trophy with a winning victory on Dylan Slevin on Saturday, while Michael Van Gerwen suffered an outing at the start of the shock.
The second day of the tenth European event of the year of the year saw 16 second round games take place by an epic day of action at the Antwerp XPO, while Littleler returned to Belgium imperiously.
Gian Van Veen struck a big upheaval, beating his idol and the seeded number two Van Gerwen 6-3, helped by four 180s.
For Littleler, the world champion struck 100% of his doubles and on average more than 101 to record the first 6-0 victory of the weekend against Slevin.
Littler, who won the Belgian Darts Open Lecot in Wieze earlier this year, has his goal on a second European title on the tour of the year.
“When I went on stage, it was like at home,” said Littleler, who will play Ryan Searle in the last 16. “I love coming here. I’m happy to play well tonight and now I can focus tomorrow.
“I want to win here, but this is only my first game. Six in six on the doubles, I generally don’t understand that, so I’m very happy.”
Stephen Bunting also impressed in Antwerp, with an average of more than 107 in his fascinating 6-1 rout of Joe Cullen. The ball will face Josh Rock in the last 16 times in an enticing tie.
Mario Vandenbogaerde was the only Belgian player to progress on Saturday, when he missed 6-3 Victor on Jonny Clayton. He will face Danny Noppert during his very first European day in the final.
Leon Weber caused a huge upheaval when he defeated the holder of the Trucks Trophy in Flanders, Dave Chisnall 6-4, winning the last 22-year-old game against James Wade.
Wade has passed the past Kim Huybrechts, from Antwerp, 6-3, and Martin Schindler eliminated Mike from Decker 6-3 despite a 170 box of the Belgian number.
The winners of the Josh Rock Dart World Cup and Daryl Gurney both crossed the finale day with 6-5 victories against Karel Sedlacek and Ross Smith respectively, because the two Northern Irish people survived two game darts.
Mensur Suljovic struck seven maximum and 60% of his doubles in a high-quality case against Rob Cross, the Austrian icon triumphant 6-5 after a last-level decision-maker.
Luke Woodhouse sailed 6-1 in front of a Peter Wright lower than speech – while the Scottish on average under 75 years – and Woodhouse will face Suljovic in the last 16.
The seeds continued to overthrow while Krzysztof Ratajski, which entered the tournament of the reserve list, was on average more than 98 to overcome Chris Dobey 6-3.

Damon Heta has comfortably seen the past Christian Kist 6-3, setting up a last draw with Ryan Joyce, who progressed towards the finale day with a Bye after Gerwyn Price withdrew with an infected hand.
