What to expect:
Highs today will climb into the 70s under partly to mostly cloudy skies. This evening, cloud cover will increase and showers are possible around dawn.
Tomorrow will not be a disaster. There will be a few showers in the morning, then many dry hours before the next round of showers and thunderstorms late afternoon and overnight. Highs will continue to be unseasonably warm in the low to mid 70s.
The region’s heaviest precipitation will likely occur late tomorrow night into Sunday morning. The predicted trend is that the heaviest rain will fall in our southeastern counties and much lighter amounts will fall in the far north.
Sunday will be a cooler day with highs struggling to get out of the 50s. The weather will also be rather windy, but most, if not all, of the rain should be gone by the start of the Bears game. Monday will be mostly sunny and seasonable with highs in the mid 60s.
Monday evening into Tuesday morning there may be a brief shower, but many areas will be dry. Highs next week will generally be close to seasonal norms, which are around 60°.
